Utah’s highest peak has drawn many hikers to it’s challenge and beauty. This 50-miler out and back hike will have you weaving through forests, along crystal clear rivers, and through expansive glacial valleys, all on your way to the rock-scramble to reach the peak. Get ready to see the brightest night sky you’ve ever laid eyes on while camping under the stars.

Day 1: Caravan from SLC to the Henry’s Fork trailhead. We’ll swing our packs over our shoulder for our hike into the high Uintas. We’ll hike 9 miles before reaching the valley where we’ll set up our Basecamp.

Day 2: Acclimate to the altitude and explore lake and streams around your new home. Explore mountain streams and lake and catch a few epic sunrises/sunsets. We’ll take a day hike and prepare for the following summit day.

Day 3: With a lighter day- pack, we’ll hike 12 miles out and back in our push to Summit King's Peak. Eating lunch at Gunsight ridge and scrambling to the top of the peak are sure to become valuable memories.

Day 4: After one last night at camp, we’ll pack up and head home - with new friends and new memories!

Each day seemed better than the last!
I met a lot of new funny people who I made great friends with. I will definitely be coming back next year for the 2019 summer.
